Slumdog Millionaire - Personal Review

Last night I took the time to watch the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan, and written by Simon Beaufoy. I will give thumbs up for casting, wardrobe, music soundtrack, script and overall theme. But I don't think this movie should be put in the epic position as most are putting it into. The overall subject is highly controversial, this I understand completely, but that doesn't mean I'm going to sympathize with it.

"Slumdog Millionaire was nominated for ten Academy Awards in 2009 and won eight, the most for any film of 2008, including Best Picture and Best Director. It also won five Critics' Choice Awards, four Golden Globes, and seven BAFTA Awards, including Best Film."

Now what the hell is up with that? Why so many awards, considerations and nominations? It was an okay movie but it wasn't that good! I won't give away any freebies, but the controversial parts of the movie were the most sought after and that is probably the reason why so many people consider it in such high regard. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button should have, in my opinion, topped all other films! Now that is an awesome movie!

Exceptional YouTube

I watch this guy on YouTube called TheAmazingAtheist. Sometimes I watch him on blogTV and I have to say that I prefer his pre-recorded video's as opposed to the live ones. Now I'm not an Atheist, in fact I'm more of an eclectic spiritualist than anything else but that's another story. So he goes by the name Terroja, 'TJ' for short. He posts up rants, reviews and all that good shit and I usually turn to his vids when I'm either needing some new inspiration, insight or just something to laugh my ass off at. He's funny! His ownage vids are sweet. My guess is that he is a fan of Foamy LoL.. no doubt. Anyway, so check him out and beg for him to own you. Trust me, you won't regret it! TheAmazingAtheist

So another YouTuber I watch is smpfilms. If you don't know then watch one of the more popular vids from Cory "Mr. Safety" here: The Mean Kitty Song I consider him more of an adventurist, while TheAmazingAtheist would be more considered a bored, energetic chubby guy. Nothing against chubby guys, I love a few of my own so don't bash! Anyways, enjoy the channels and if you don't enjoy them, don't bring any complaints here.

There are tons of other YouTube channels I can make a good example of, but I just don't feel like it right now. Maybe later.
